Bug Description

This bug happens in Xenial only, fresh installation with the release version.

When I open my laptop the unity-greeter is shown but I'm unable to enter my password, everything seems to be not ready yet.
Then unity-greeter vanishes and my desktop is shown.
After some seconds unity-greeter is back again and I can finally enter my password and log in.

Thank you for your bug report, are you talking about the greeter or the unity lockscreen? (can select other users/guest session on that screen?). Do you have an compiz/unity crash report after getting the issue?

It is the lockscreen, sorry.
But at the moment I'm not able to reproduce.
I also have some issues with suspend. It works fine, but at some point suspend only lasts for a couple of seconds and then my laptop wakes up again (with lid closed, fan starts spinning again and power led is on again).
Could there be a connection?

I will give an update if I can tell more.

For now I am still not able to reproduce it manuallay, but it occurs sometimes. I do not know when sadly.
Suspend seems to break at some point. (I suspect it happens when the lid is closed for a long time)
Then my laptop will suspend for a very short period and then resume again.

If I close the lid, my laptop suspends, the power led blinks (which indicates suspending), then after some seconds it resumes, the power led stops blinking and stays on. When the lid is opened afterwards, my desktop is fully shown, but I cannot interact.
Again after some seconds the lockscreen pops up.

If the suspend has broken once, it will never suspend correctly again until I do a reboot.

Then I can also trigger suspend via 'sudo pm-suspend' and it will resume falsely after some seconds.
I will attach the pm-suspend logfile.

How is the suspend triggered when I close the lid? So I can check some more logfiles?
