unity-greeter does not allow to view long list of sessions (no keyboard)

unity-greeter does not work with a longer list of available sessions on a smaller screen: the list expands from the dropdown to the bottom and cannot be accessed using the keyboard, e.g. by using Cursor-Down to scroll below what is visible.
