Bug Description

When you boot up the pc and lightdm starts and start the screenreader by pressing CTRL-S (or by using the mouse), the screenreader is telling a fixed time (what will be a wrong time after a while) when you navigate to the time dropdown menu.

How to reproduce:
- Boot up the pc and wait until lightdm comes up
- press CTRL - S to start the screenreader
- wait one or two minutes
- navigate to the time dropdown menu
- the screenreader tells you a wrong time.

Tested with: Ubuntu 12.04

Short addition: The time the screenreader tells you will never change if you try it again a few minutes later.

Does it work on the desktop? it's either an indicator-datetime issue or a focus issue on the unity-greeter

affects: lightdm → indicator-datetime

I tried it on the desktop after logging in, but the voice only tells something I understand as "window". The voice isn't telling any time at all.

LightDM should set the keyboard focus in such situations. I'm not sure how Orca works, but I guess it reads the focused widget.

Changed in indicator-datetime:
status: New → Incomplete

There are 2 bugs here:

1) In Unity the indicator is read as "window", no time is read at all.

2) In the unity-greeter, it reads the time once, say 6:33 and then when you go back later at say 6:34, it still says 6:33. I'm not sure how that's a focus issue, maybe more like an update issue.

I'm resetting the state back to New for the indicator-date-time since no reason was given for making it incomplete and no additional information was requested.

Versions:
ii indicator-datetime 0.3.94-0ubuntu2
ii unity-greeter 0.2.8-0ubuntu1.1

Changed in indicator-datetime:
status: Incomplete → New

I cannot repro what I said for item 1) above, I think something had crashed when that happened.
