Bug Description
Lightdm greeter is not displayed properly. This problem occured after I connected my laptop to a TV and turned the laptop screen turned off. Now that the TV is no longer connected the lightdm greeter has a problem. When I turn the machine on and reach the login screen I can only see the password entry box, everything else is hidden by the default ubuntu background image and dots. The greeter is still there and working but only the field with focus is visible, so I can't see the username for the password that I am entering. I have used Synaptic to fully removed lightdm and its config files and then reinstalled it but this has had no effect. I can still use the machine but the other people that use it will find this very confusing.
The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite C670D-108 with an AMD E350 Brazos APU running latest Ubuntu 12.04 release with all updates applied.
