wifi won't work on unless i check and uncheck enable wifi

Everytime I boot or wake where i need to reconnect I need to either
1) enable and re-enable wifi till it says available networks or
2)nmcli m till it doesn't say "disconnected wlp8s0 unavailable" just disconnected then do a iwlist scan
