Bug Description
Steps to reproduce the issue:
1. Install Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS on AMD PC with a AMD GPU card(Tonga/Fiji)
2. Make sure AMD GPU driver (amdgpu.ko) is loaded.
3. Connect PC to a monitor/AV receiver capable of 5.1 audio.
4. Click on System Settings -> Sound -> output tab.
5. HDMI/DP Endpoint is shown, but 5.1 channel option is not listed.
Additional information:
1. Try to play from command line application 'speaker-test'.
We can hear 5.1 audio. Only UI option to select 5.1 audio is missing
2. Repeat the same steps to reproduce ,but replace PC with AMD CPU with Intel CPU.
UI option to select 5.1 audio can be seen in 'sound settings' and can be tested from there too.
Update on 22-03-2016 :
With Ubuntu 14.04.4 LTS on above mentioned setup, 5.1 channel option is displayed, but not 7.1 channel option to select.
