Bug Description

I have a shortcut on my launcher which takes me to the sound settings panel. I have had it for some time and use it regularly. Now it's stopped working. Instead of taking me to the sound part of the settings app, I get dropped to the main screen of system settings. There's other broken shortcuts too.

Power indicator -> Power settings - works
System menu -> System settings - broken
Sound menu -> Sound settings - works
Date/Time indicator -> Date & Time settings - broken
Link in launcher to sound settings - broken

Thank you for your bug report. How did you create that shortcut? Is that a custom .desktop? What command is being used in it?

It was a shortcut created by opening settings -> sound ages ago and right clicking on the launcher and using "lock to launcher". I ended up removing the shortcut and recreating it. I presumed the binary name used by the new settings system was different from the old one, causing it not to launch properly. I sadly no longer have the .desktop file.

we migrate the gnome-control-center.desktop to unity-control-center.desktop, we could probably migrate other favorite but we need to know the format/command used for that.

Opening a specific panel matches the system-settings icon, how do you add specific entries for specific panels then?
