Bug Description

1. Open the Keyboard settings app.
2. Select the "Shortcuts" tab.
3. Select Navigation/Switch applications.
4. Remap the action.
5. Observe that the chosen remapped key doesn't switch applications.

I found that I had to use ccsm and change "Key to start the Switcher" in the Ubuntu Unity Plugin settings in order to remap alt-tab.

13.04 is no longer supported. Is this still a problem on 12.04/14.04/14.10?

$ kvm -cdrom ubuntu-14.10-desktop-amd64.iso -cpu host -m 2G

1. Select "Try Ubuntu" after live cd boot
2. On boot to desktop, open nautilus and firefox. Observe alt-tab switches between apps.
3. Open "Keyboard" settings app
4. Select "Shortcuts" tab
5. Select "Navigation" list item
6. Observe that "Switch Applications" and "Switch windows of an app directly" are both marked "disabled"
7. Click "Switch Applications" to assign a new shortcut. Press "Alt-Backslash".
8. Observe that Alt-backslash doesn't switch applications. I wasn't able to get any other key combinations to work.

Also note that Alt-tab still works at the end of the steps above.
