Bug Description
Control Center has two settings panels for keyboard related settings: “Keyboard” and “Keyboard Layout”. The icons used for these panels are misleading, as they suggest exact the opposite content:
- The “Keyboard Layout” icon depicts tree keys, two of which are connected by an orange line. This suggest something like “keyboard shortcuts”, where you combine two or more keys to trigger certain actions. But shortcuts are part of the “Keyboard” panel.
- The “Keyboard” icon depicts a whole computer keyboard. This suggests that one can configure the keyboard as a whole, i.e. its layout.
Thus, I would suggest switching the icons used for these panels.
P.S.: One could also question the categories these settings belong to: Personally, I would expect the keyboard layout to define the “Hardware” aspect of the keyboard, while keyboard shortcuts are more of a “Personal” setting.
P.P.S.: A related, but different bug is #883256 which suggests merging these categories altogether.
