unity-2d display custom icons in launcher, but not for ALT+TAB

Bug Description

To recreate,

1) Login to unity *3D*
2) Create a .desktop file for your application in ~/.local/share/applications/foo.desktop, specifying a valid 'Icon=' key.
3) Run your application
4) Observe that the icon is displayed in the launcher.
5) Observe that the icon is displayed when you type ALT+Tab.
6) Switch to unity *2D*.
7) Observe the icon is correctly displayed in the launcher.
8) PROBLEM: observe that the icon is NOT displayed when you ALT+Tab.

In unity-2d, ALT+Tab shows the default/broken icon symbol (black square with red circle with line through it).

The expected behaviour appears to have regressed as of precise: now, the launcher now shows the default/broken icon symbol too.

Changed in unity-2d (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid
