Bug Description
Sometime last week I started using unity-2d. I believe, toward the end of last week I started seeing a single row of arbitrary colored pixels above the unity panel.
I've actually seen this on someone else's system to (hazmat). it appears in the attached screenshot, but you may have to zoom in to see it. Literally, it is a single pixel high.

an additional bit of information, it looks like the pixels only appear over the portion of the panel that has indicators (ie, 'mail', battery, bluetooth, network-manager, volume, date, me-menu, settings menu).
