unison -ui graphic

does not work. I also installed unison-gtk, but it made no difference. I just tred this on Fedora the other day...

Indeed. The manpage should probably note that `unison -ui graphic` doesn't work for bare unison (although `unison-gtk -ui text does work). If you would like to launch unison in graphical mode, try either `unison-gtk` or use the menu entry (under Internet).

Not only does it "not work", there are absolutely no error messages.
None from the command-line.
None in the log file.

In addition I couldn't get bare-bones text-mode unison to allow me to set up a (default) profile, something the gui client (almost) manages.

With unison-gtk installed it works when called as
unison-gtk
, but not when called as
unison -ui graphic

unison works just fine(TM) on Open Suse

unison-gtk
wasn't installed on (default?) feisty (kubuntu), so I never found the menu entry under Internet either.
