Binary package hint: unetbootin

unetbootin depends on several Qt packages. Qt is able to use native GTK controls in Qt-apps, however, unetbootin's control aren't native whatsover, but look rather old-fashioned.

(Maybe we build a static package, where a dynamic linked would be better: http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/unetbootin/wiki/compile#BuildingaDynamicallyLinkedVersion)

Even compiling from source (either from GIT or PPA), the widgets still look like windows.

Is there any way to make Unetbootin use native, GTK+ widgets?

The issue is that for whatever reason Ubuntu defaults Qt applications run as root to that style. You can fix the issue by installing the qtconfig-qt4 package, then running "gksudo qtconfig-qt4" and selecting the GTK theme instead. Might want to file a bug against Ubuntu.
