Binary package hint: unetbootin
Error with Karmic after udev and util-linux changes.
Error message during app start:
"vol_id not found. This is required for either install mode.
Install the "udev" package or your distribution's equivalent."

I cannot install package linux-image- 2.6.30- 5-generic because /sbin/vol_id not found. I tried to install udev but dpkg can't resolve this problem to continue .
