Bug Description

The version currently packaged with Ubuntu was released in 2010. There have been two releases since, the current one (0.59) in December last year.
It would be great if an up-to-date version could be packaged with Ubuntu.
There's an up-to-date package in Debian Wheezy and Sid: http://packages.debian.org/wheezy/uncrustify

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
I see that uncrustify version 0.59-2 is available in Ubuntu 12.10 and later releases, so I believe this issue can be considered fixed.

Btw, when a newer version exists in Debian, it is possible to request a sync of the package, see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SyncRequestProcess for details. Ubuntu will also automatically sync newer version of packages from Debian at the start of each development cycle. :)

Thanks.
Unfortunately, this was requested over 2 years ago, so by now the latest uncrustify release, 0.60, which is not in Ubuntu, is over a year old. I guess we could play catch-up, and I could file a new bug, but I don't need the latest version right now, so I won't bother.

Also, thanks for the pointer to the sync request document, I was not aware how this is supposed to work before.

You're welcome. :)

Ah, I see that. I filed a new bug on it in Debian (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=748787).

Can this be re-opened. There has been no change on the Debian side and the package is starting to seriously rot. This package needs to be updated to 0.60.
