Bug Description

Bug #1267059 means that Ubuntu servers running with unattended-upgrades rapidly run out of disk space, which of course results in no further security patches being applied and the servers becoming insecure. That bug has been closed, but the fix has not been sent out as a security update in current LTS releases (e.g. trusty) and hence the problem is not actually fixed.

This severe problem has existed for two years so far without being fixed...
