Umlet installer doesn't add application to launcher

When Ubuntu's umlet package is installed, the application isn't added to Ubuntu's application launcher menu. After reviewing which files are included in umlet's package, it seems that the package contains no .desktop file nor does it add any file to /usr/share/applications as suggested in Ubuntu's page on Unity Launchers [1]

I've added as an attachment a .desktop file that, once saved in /usr/share/applications, enables umlet to be listed in Ubuntu's launcher.
