ufraw-batch crashes after processing the first file on Ubuntu 18.04 and 18.10,

Bug Description
It seems there is a known issue in ufraw-batch that causes a SIGSEGV after closing the file.
Because of this, ufraw-batch is unusable.
Fortunately, there is a trivial patch available:

I downloaded ufraw sources, applied the patch, compiled it and.... I confirm the patch works!
Now I get nice Pentax PEF thumbnails in nautilus.
Can you make that patch a part of official Ubuntu 18.10 distribution?
