issue when i change ubuntu language

Bug Description
Binary package hint: udisks
1-~$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 9.10
Release: 9.10
2-desktop:~$ apt-cache policy packagename
W: Unable to locate package packagename
3- i had ubuntu in spanish when i change it to english then in home i had repeated folders, like foto and pictures , documentos and documents , etc.
4- no error showed
ps: it should rename the name of foto with pictures and nt having both , plus it were nt show in PLACES
