4. Eject and re-insert the blank cd.
5. Notice that "Blank cd (7 MB free)" shows for a second in the dialog.
6. Notice the "No disc available" text is shown again, but Burn buttons are enabled.

Additionally, after a successful burn, I get:

Please eject the disc from "HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4163B" manually.
The disc could not be ejected though it needs to be removed for the current operation to continue.

thank you for your bug report, could you get gvfs-mount -li and udisks --dump logs with the disk not listed and then listed?

Now it seems to work. The only problem is that the blank cd-r disc shows 7,2 MB of free space (which should be 700 MB)

You won't be told you're the only one, Eemil.
Apparently exactly the same symptoms here.
But I did not notice that the button was enabled.
I rebooted a 68 days running system and lost the competition ;-)
So,
1) I should learn to read ;-)
2) These bug reports should have a Bug Solution/Workaround entry anyway.

Obviously, my system had entered a funny state.
And an explanation how to get out of it would have been great.
