Bug Description

Problem:

[HP Pro 3000 MT]: MMC device does not unmount properly after removal.

Kernel tested: 3.2.0.23-generic

OS: 12.04 LTS

Steps to recreate:

1.) Insert MMC card into media card reader.
2.) Wait for system to auto mount
3.) Remove key from system.
4.) 1.0 GB key is still shown in unity menu as available device.

Udev monitor output:

Media shows up as /media/8A20-3C7E/ and after removal media is empty as expected. However unity menu stil shows a mounted drive. Clicking on the icon for the drive causes it to disapear.
