udev fails to correctly install upon update on Ubuntu Lucid

Bug Description
Binary package hint: udev
While upgrading the system today, the udev package was apparently upgraded as well. The update errored out while initramfs-tools was trying to regenerate at the file udev/firmware.sh
Error is as following:
"Processing triggers for initramfs-tools ...
update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.
cpio ./lib/udev/
With the usual further overview of the issue.
