Bug Description

Binary package hint: udev

When I install udev_111-0ubuntu5_i386.deb and volumeid_111-0ubuntu5_i386.deb the boot
process pauses a long time until the initramfs prompt is shown.
There is no "/dev/disk/by-uuid/" directory which might be caused by:

/lib/udev/vol_id /dev/hda9
/lib/udev/vol_id: symbol lookup error: /lib/udev/vol_id: undefined symbol: volume_id_get_label

So vol_id of initramfs is missing some symbols.
Please feel free to ask for any further information.
