Bug Description
I performed a clean install of Ubuntu 12.10 with no DVD drive installed in my machine.
Then, a while later I purchaced and installed a DVD drive but I do not have the symlink:
/dev/cdrom
I do have /dev/sr0 and the following output:
$ cat /proc/sys/
