Subject: didn't create symlink to udev.rules

Package: udev
Version: 0.046-4
Severity: grave

Upon an upgrade that included both hal and udev, I ended up with the following
in /etc/udev/rules.d:

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 12 Nov 30 20:19 z_hal-plugdev.rules -> ../hal.rules

Looking at the postinst, hal probably got unpacked before udev was configured,
causing udev not to create the default symlinks.

Yes. Do you have a fix to propose? I'm not sure about how to guarantee
that the links will be created only at the time of the first install.

I didn't get a chance to test this with 0.046-5, but the same problem happens
with 0.046-6. It's fairly easy to reproduce by having gnome-desktop-environment
installed with magicdev, and then doing an
apt-get --purge install gnome-volume-manager

Yes, the precedent version was still buggy, but I should have fixed
this for real in 0.048-2.
