Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

joel@doubleubuntu:/etc/bluetooth$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 8.10
Release: 8.10

During update there was a conflict with memtestx86 updating menu.lst and kernel updating menu.lst - in both cases I have a pre-existing modified menu.lst with several boot configs in - memtestx86 3 way merge succeeded, subsequent kernel 3-way merge bombed out and didn't allow any recovery options

I have a bluetooth keyboard and mouse - these don't work in full bluetooth mode (which I use to enable my cellphone sync) only emulated mode - again this was down to conflicts in the old bluetooth config and the new one and a failing 3-way merge. It also appears to have not preserved my old config as a backup.

The binary ATI driver for my graphics card didn't update correctly and I'm back to vesa fallback for X

Aside from these relatively minor issues, the upgrade appears to have run smoothly.

I have a Thunder K8W dual AMDx64 board with a AGP Radeon X1650 Gfx card.

Thanks!
