When installing ubuntustudio-audio, timidity fails to install.

I was able to fix this by uninstalling both timidity packages and ubuntustudio-audio, and then installing ubuntustudio-audio again. Note that this error was caused when converting the 64 bit version of Ubuntu Desktop to Ubuntu Studio 64 bit.

This solution didn't work for me (well they uninstalled fine), but got this when re-installing:

E: timidity: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
E: ubuntustudio-audio: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured

I just installed UbuntuStudio last night over a new clean 8.04.1 i386 install and got similar messages:

I removed the packages and today tried reinstalling them and got the same messages.
