Ubuntu Studio usplash Fails to Prompt for Passphrase for Encrypted LVMs

To Reproduce:

1) On given hard drive, run Ubuntu Gutsy x86 alternate installer and partition as thus:
/boot

volume_for_encryption (default settings)
   - LVM
      - /
      -/other_mount_points

2) At first boot, Ubuntu's usplash pauses load and prompts for passphrase. Upon successful entry of passphrase, Ubuntu continues loading.

3) Install ubuntustudio-desktop, which replaces Ubuntu's usplash with Ubuntu Studio's

4) Restart. Ubuntu Studio's usplash will hang on loading, incrementing the progress bar very slowly, but never giving an opportunity to enter a passphrase for the encrypted volume.

5) Press ALT+F1. Console will report it is attempting to mount the encrypted volume, but never prompt for passphrase.

Recommend triaging for critical, as this wrecks a functional install, requiring either re-install or rescue with a separate OS (cannot be repaired in same OS as problem exists).

Not tried:
1) Repeat steps 1-3 above, then manually reset the usplash to the Ubuntu default.
2) Install with Ubuntu Studio Gutsy, and setup encrypted volumes there (not even sure if it allows for it).

Sorry, I wasn't clear on that. This was all in Gutsay. When I said I hadn't tried "Install with Ubuntu Studio Gutsy", I meant I had used Ubuntu Gutsy's install disc. I will edit the description to avoid further confusion.

I see Luke Yelavich re-assigned it. I wasn't sure if the issue was with some setting or implementation of ubuntustudio-desktop.

Note that:
1) I did NOT try just the usplash package.
2) I AM currently using almost every asset of ubuntu studio except the usplash. (It works fine.)

I just security-updated gutsy studio with an encrypted LVM and now I am running into this. Unable to boot except through rescue mode. What is the fix ?

Robbt, please enable the "proposed fixes" package repository and upgrade to version 0.15.1. Please let us know whether that works.
