Bug Description
Binary package hint: plymouth
When trying to install ubuntustudio-
scott@studio-
The program 'plymouth-
sudo apt-get install plymouth
But plymouth is already installed and updated to latest version 0.8.1-1ubuntu1.
Yesterday I ran into the same problem using an older version of plymouth but I was aware that a similar bug was reported (and a fix released) and made sure to upgrade. I even deleted the beta1 partition and reinstalled just to make sure it worked (or didn't).
So, just to recap:
1. Installed beta1 yesterday
2. tried to install ubuntustudio-
3. was told that plymouth-
4. checked and plymouth was indeed installed
5. tried to install xubuntu-
6. after reading bug reports I updated to plymouth-
7. tried to install plymouth themes (ubuntustudio, xubuntu, and lubuntu) again which yielded same problem
8. deleted Ubuntu Studio beta1 partition
9. reinstalled Ubuntu Studio beta1
10. using synaptic I made sure to refresh sources and then installed latest plymouth (0.8.1-1ubuntu1)
11. using update manager refreshed sources and installed all updates
12. ubuntustudio-
13. used synaptic to install ubuntustudio-
14. installation borked and plymouth-
15. tried and failed with xubuntu-

plymouth- set-default- theme is removed intentionally. The other themes packages need to be updated to use alternatives instead of trying to call this command.
