Confirm a similar issue - in my case I can get over 20 instances running before I have to "kill". Have had to remove UbuntuOne completely via Synaptic to prevent the spawning of these multiple instances.
This may be relevant or just a coincidence:
a) I do sych files shared by another user
b) I do share different files with the same user -----> could this be a loop?
Other user does not suffer from same problem
