Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client

I've just tried to create a user defined folder by right clicking on it and selecting "Synchronise on Ubuntu One". However, after doing so it appears that nothing happens. There's no indication of whether it's done this or not (which I suspect means it hasn't).

Per IRC conversation with Matt Griffin I've switched this from being marked as a duplicate of bug 547087 as I don't think it is.

I *think* I'd checked the Ubuntu One preferences dialogue and found that I wasn't connected. It had then crashed because of a different bug, but in any case I think that when you try to add a user defined folder, if you aren't currently connected you should be prompted to connect, and in any case there should immediately be some visual notification that the sync for the new folder is in progress, successful or failed (with a reason why and a way to fix it).
