Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client

I previously had a system with both the gnome and kde 4 desktops available. I had updated from 7.10 through to 9.10, but eventually needed to do a fresh install of kubuntu. I reinstalled ubuntuone including ubuntuone-client-gnome, but when I click the icon on the panel to connect, it doesn't do so, although it seems to be trying to update my files. I checked on my Asus eeepc 901 where I've got ubuntu netbook remix 9.10 installed, which is the machine I sync files with, and nothing had been updated (no surprise). Is there any alternative to installing the gnome desktop on my main machine just so that ubuntuone will work for kde if I first install it on the gnome desktop (which I think is what I did last time)?

Hi Pete,

Based on the attached syncdaemon-exceptions.log file, it looks like the client can't find the keyring daemon, which is required for Ubuntu One to run. I believe on Kubuntu it will use KWallet. One thing you may want to try is a KDE client that Harald Sitter wrote:

Thank you,
