ubuntuone-client fails to add computer to ubuntuone account

Didn't see this bug in the list, though I may have missed it. I've had a U1 account since July but never used it, far as i can remember. very excited to try evo-couchdb now, though, so tried to connect to u1. Had some trouble with the client, which wouldn't connect, so deleted my machine from the account. then restarted the client, which took me to the "confirm access" page adding this machine; seemed to go ok, but after i was returned to one.ubuntu.com, another tab opened up requesting the same login information. this occured recursively; soon i had 3 or versions of the very same machine signed up, but still coud not connect.

happy to investigate further if more info is needed. relevant files should be attached to this report by apport, as the client eventually crashed.
