Bug Description

I have added several folder (moved them from another location) and the client started to sync and later reported that it was done but in fact there are several files missing on the web. One ISO image on 500 Mb are missing for examle.

It would be nice to force a resync

I believe this bug affects me too. I have a folder in my Ubuntu One directory, none of which shows up on the web interface. I have no messages or specific info to add, unfortunately. I also realize this feature may not be working yet.

I have about 16gb of data sitting in my Ubuntu One folder and only 4.4gb has actually been uploaded to the server. Even though there is plenty of data that needs to be uploaded UbuntuOne states that all of my files are up to date. For whatever it's worth the uploaded process was interrupted when I had to turn off my laptop to travel.

Also of note is that the UbuntuOne web interface never works for me. It either hangs when opening directories or just fails to load at all. On the rare occasion that it does work I can see all of my folders but most of the folders are empty.

I have two identical laptops running Kubuntu 9.10 and both have this same issue of not syncing.

My files still aren't synching rite. The tray icon sais all files are synched. There still is about 300 MB left to synch. While this problem exists i'm using Dropbox as a substitute.

Never mind my comment, reinstalled ubuntu one, deleted config file, no success. On the website i deleted my computer, closed the application, restarted it and added my computer to the website and now my files are syncing correct.

My files stopped synching again, I did all the stuff i mentioned in an earlier post. At first it did not seem to work but eventually files started synching. I wonder if this had anything to do with not having a fixed ip but a dynamic one?

Maybe i should report this as a new bug?

I am having the exact same problem. Ubuntu one seems to have no problem getting all my folders, however, it just ignores my files!

This stuff really needs to be fixed! I Won't pay any longer for a service that doesn't work.

I am having this problem too. Ubuntu One only synchronizes some files, but not all of them. Even worse, it marks all the files as synchronized in the local folder. This is a VERY dangerous behavior, as people will normally assume all the files are synchronized, but that's not the case. In my case, in one folder it only synchronized one out of 33 files, and in other folder it only synced one out of 7 sub-folders. This is a serious bug and it is not solved.

I attach my logs.

After 3 days, somehow, Ubuntu One started to synchronize the remaining files. Apparentely all files are synced now. However, I am not sure if the problem is solved. It may be a random problem, and if this is the case it is equally serious. Once more, I reattach the updated logs, as they may help.

Nicolás,

thank you very much for the logs, I'm reviewing them right now.

Can anyone else confirm you're still having this issue?

Thanks!

Nicolás,

First of all, thank you very much for reporting this and for taking the time of uploading logs.
Second of all, from the logs you sent we can see that files are uploading alright. What you may be experimenting is that you added a lot of files, and we currently have an open bug which causes the upload of several files to be extremely slow (instead, uploading a single huge file is a lot faster).

For example, on your logs you have incremental marks like these:

MARK (state: START_WORKING_ON_BOTH; queues: metadata: 3671; content: 3544 ...
MARK (state: START_WORKING_ON_BOTH; queues: metadata: 3656; content: 3544 ...

which indicate that metadata of files is being processed (the amount is reduced) but the content of files is not being uploaded (yet, first we send all the metadata).

I'm closing this bug as fixed since the initial issue was fixed on r218. Please open a new bug if you (or any other reporter) find problems.

I also have this issue - I had it in jaunty, and i stil have it after upgrading to karmic. 5.3GB synced out of 30.9 (i'm paying for the 50GB storage). I leave my PC on as a server, logging out/in probably once or twice a day. It's been like this for maybe a couple of months? I went through a bug fix with a developer, who's conclusion was "it all looks good - just wait and it should eventually sync". It didn't, and it doesn't look like it's going to. Help?

I still have this problem. It says my files are up to date, but in fact the latest files on the web are 3 days old. Everything I've done in the past 3 days hasn't been uploaded. (I'm using the free 2GB service, but I'm only using 3.8% of it at the moment since I'm only trying to sync small files).
