Bug Description
When you open a binary (or any file without proper character encoding), the gedit window that is raised will look quite odd. The error message will take 3/4ths of the screen, but a yellow box will overlap it a little tiny bit. You can reproduce this error like this:
$ gedit /bin/ls
Notice the yellow box, and how it overlaps the message
I will attatch a screenshot.
Also, if the filename is long, the window is especially odd looking. You can reproduce this bug like this:
$ cp /bin/ls ~/
$ mv ~/ls ~/reallyreallyl
$ gedit ~/reallyreallyl
Notice how the error message is half in the yellow box, but half in the message window. Strange. I will attach a screenshot of this behavior.
I am using the latest Ubuntu dapper, x86
