Bug Description

Steps to reproduce:
- Open the app
- Select on page (for example, "guitar") then another (for example, "chords") BEFORE the first one has time to appear.

The result:
The second page you pressed appears, quickly replaced by the first one. However, there is no back button on this page, meaning you have to close the app in order to navigate inside it again.

This also happens with "settings" and "about".

I haven't noticed this one before, but the 0.4.1 update seems a bit slower to me, which could explain it.

Could it be a bug in the toolkit? I don't know which app to check for a similar behaviour. In System Settings for example, you cannot press another icon before the one you selected opens, even if it does not open right away.

File Manager has a similar layout, so I assume it uses the same components? In File Manager, the problem does not occur. Maybe the page is "loaded" before it appears, maybe the UI just freezes until the selected page is opened… So if you select one folder and quickly select another one before the first one appears, it will register your touch input as a selection inside the folder you first pressed.
And the most important thing here from a usability point of view is that the back button does not disappear.

Thanks for the bug report! This is known problem. I think this is bug in the adaptive page layout (SDK). I have no direct influence on this behaviour. I think in guitar tool this behaviour can be seen very clear, because when you open a tool, the previous tool (or settings) will be stopped to save resources and the new tool has to loaded (which takes some time). Maybe I can find a workaround i.e. waiting before the tool is set up / destroyed before open / close the page.

I can see this too, in apps using the AdaptivePageLayout. Reassigning to UITK
