Bug Description
We need to have a story for minimum window dimensions. Apps shouldn't shrink smaller than their contents can reasonably adapt. The UI toolkit gallery itself is an example of it, at a certain width the window clips components at the right side.
I'd like to suggest we have a default approach in AdaptivePageLayout so apps don't need to deal with the window.
Alternatively we can decide to make bug 1587431 the solution to this.

They have to deal with the main window anyway in case they don't use AdaptivePageLayout. So rather an API in MainView would be better than in a layout.
