Bug Description
On this branch we are adding a fixture to create a fake application:
https:/
When we create a desktop file, it's a common mistake to miss one of the required fields. And because of bug #1204595, the shell just fails silently to launch the application.
They will improve the code, but it would be nice for us to also catch an error while trying to create a faulty desktop file.
<greyback> elopio: required entries are Name, Comment, Icon, Exec, Path, StageHint, others are optional
