I am also confirming this bug. ATI Radeon HD 4250, RS880. Don't know if this is related, but I get occasional mouse pointer and video stutter after login as well. It is very suttle so hard to spot initially. This all started after installing 12.04, I did not have these issues with 11.04. My install was clean, not an upgrade.
