Bug Description

I charged my retail bq e4.5 running OTA-6 to 100%, set airplane mode on, and unplugged the phone then locked it. The goal was to see how long the battery would last in this state.

I periodically wake the phone up and look in system settings -> battery. Each time I look I notice that the graph only ever takes up 50% of the screen, it doesn't go back any farther.

I would expect it to go back to show the entire graph filled with a line.

Thanks, I think it's a known issue but could you attach the /var/lib/upower history-charge record?

Basically we query the charge data points over a day and display the graph from there and upower doesn't do periodic records but only on changes, so it's likely that we have a data point saying 82% around 11pm and that the previous change/level is older that 24 hours back.

The solution would be to look on a longer period for the previous record and calculate the intersection of the line between that point and the first and the x=0 line and add that as a data point to the graph...

Changed in ubuntu-system-settings (Ubuntu):
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Triaged
