Bug Description

Right now it is centered in the page, including the space occupied by the header. It should instead be centered in the area which is used by the Flickable (list of updates).

That seems to be because the rectangle is anchored at the top of the page, which is the top of the header, it should be at the bottom of the header instead ... not sure if that's a toolkit issue or how to tell it to header.bottom

The result actually looks good -- it's "optically centered", because it's slightly closer to the top than the bottom. <http://typophile.com/node/86543>

Ideally QML would have a verticalOpticalCenter anchor as well as verticalCenter.

To be honest, I don't like how it looks.

Btw, I haven't had the time to update my PR lately. Exams... I'll look into it again when they are over.
