Bug Description

If you set rotation lock in system settings, the icon of it is visible in top line. There you can de-/activate rotation lock, too. But this doesn't work. You are only able to deactivate it from there. If you want to activate the lock, the slicebutton is green, but nothing happens. Also there is no icon in top line.

Marcel, thanks for your report. That the rotation lock goes missing from the indicators (top line) is design/known.

I am trying to understand the issue, but I'm not sure what you mean by slicebutton? Also, where does nothing happen, in System Settings or the indicator?

Oh, sorry.

summary:
-Switching rotation lock in system settings works perfectly
-If rotation is locked:
-- You can deactivate rotation lock perfectly
-If rotation isn't locked:
-- If you want to lock rotation and press on the switch-button, following happens:
--- The switch is showing, that the rotation is locked.
--- The indicator-icon is not shown in the indicator-line (if it isn't dropped down)
  --- The system does nothing

I hope, that it is understandable now, it's a bit difficult to explain...

Thank you for your bug report, I don't understand what you describe. What version of Ubuntu Touch and device are you using? On a bq phone with the rtm image the settings and indicator work as they should, you can turn rotation on and off from any of those and the other one is updating...

I'm using ubuntu 15.04 r117 (from channel "devel-proposed") on mako (Nexus 4) today. (When I reported this bug, I used r98, but till now, the indicator-switch doesn't work.)
