2014-09-26 18:11:34 Jamie Strandboge description https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SecurityAndPrivacySettings lists various privacy settings for the phone. Location was one of the first designed and implemented, but since then, 'Other app access' was added to accommodate video and audio recording. First, 'other app access' is not clear-- if anything, it should say 'other service access' because video and audio recording represent services with trust store integration. Second, there really isn't any reason why Location shouldn't be grouped with the other trust-store-enabled services and it is awkward that it is separated out. While this requires design input, I suggest the following: - Security & Privacy - Services access - Camera - Location - Microphone (Note: currently 'Mic' is used, which should also be fixed) With this layout, we reduce the number of entries on the 'Security & Privacy' page and one place for services. This allows us to add more trust-store-enabled services in the future. Marking High because it is user facing. Not adding rtm14 because it seems to me that this could be provided later (feel free to adjust). https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SecurityAndPrivacySettings lists various privacy settings for the phone.
