Bug Description

We have been asked to investigate the idea that "Search terms in System Settings should not persist".

Open issues:
- If search terms should clear, when? When you return from an individual screen? When you relaunch System Settings? When you restart the phone?
- Is this what people expect?

The spec had this comment:
"The search field should empty itself if you had switched to other apps for at least five minutes "
A similar and simpler approach would be to clear it if the user goes to another application at all as they are likely done with settings.
I would not suggest clearing it when the user returns from the sub panel as I may have selected the wrong one, and would then want to select another match from the previous search.

Not saying it's a good or bad thing, but one issue with using app-switching is that someone might be doing it just to get help on how to use System Settings, for example from the browser or from someone in the Messaging app.

As long as bug 1289404 was unfixed, we'd also need to make a special exception for the Online Accounts app.
