2014-08-19 11:08:05 Matthew Paul Thomas description The current specification [1] doesn't detail much of the behaviour of that control, when the user interact with it One example - open the update panel with 3 apps update available, the button states "install 3 updates" - tap on the button -> we currently change the label to "pause 3 updates", that doesn't seem to be specified though, maybe the button should simply be hidden then? - pause one of the update -> currently the button keeps stating "pause 3 updates", that looks buggy as well If the intend is to start available updates, we could count updates being downloaded/installed as not being listed. It would mean the button is hidden when the updates start, if one item is paused it would still not be listed, if another one is paused as well then the button would be displayed back to restart those updates [1] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwareUpdates - open the update panel with 3 apps update available, the button states "install 3 updates" - tap on the button -> we currently change the label to "pause 3 updates", that doesn't seem to be specified though, maybe the button should simply be hidden then? - pause one of the update -> currently the button keeps stating "pause 3 updates", that looks buggy as well If the intend is to start available updates, we could count updates being downloaded/installed as not being listed. It would mean the button is hidden when the updates start, if one item is paused it would still not be listed, if another one is paused as well then the button would be displayed back to restart those updates <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwareUpdates#installing-all-mobile>: "For example, once you tap it, all updates should begin installing, so the button should fade away and the list of updates should slide up to fill the empty space. Conversely, if any update is paused or stops due to an error, the button should reappear."
