swiping upwards in the updater dialog while it downloads an image makes the UI vanish

Bug Description
I noticed a few times already that while the download manager downloads an OTA image and you swipe upwards in the empty space underneath the progress bar (to keep the screen on), at some point the UI completely vanishes, leaving only the page header around.
The upgrade seems to still continue and at some point i get the reboot dialog.
