SSO client complains 'There was a problem retrieving the credentials'

Steps to reproduce:

1.) Select 'Ubuntu One' from the launcher
2.) Click on 'I already have an account link'
3.) Enter a valid username and password and click 'Connect'

Expected result:

Ubuntu One reaches the 'logged in' state

Actual result:

Red letters stating 'There was a problem retrieving the credentials' appear above the 'Learn more' button
