Bug Description

The copyright notice for the ubuntu-sounds package in Ubuntu states:-

"his is Ubuntu's GNOME audio theme.

Copyright (C) 2004 Canonical Ltd. <http://www.canonical.com>
Sounds composed and recorded by Nathaniel McCallum <email address hidden>

This work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.
"

As I understand it Pete Savage ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/~petesavage ) composed the sounds we have in Ubuntu today, and these have been used for some years now. The copyright on this package should credit the correct composer.

Looking back over http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=ubuntu-sounds it looks like this is the case for all releases that use this sound, not just natty.
