Distribution upgrade nuked nvidia drivers and borked packages.

The prior Nvidia proprietary drivers 545-open were nuked from my system, and I can only use the 535 proprietary drivers post-upgrade from 23.10 to 24.04. This was not a clean upgrade and may necessitate an in-place upgrade or system reinstallation. ubuntu-drivers, when instructed to reinstall the specific drivers defaulted to the 535 drivers, and it is infuriating.
