Error during update

A problem occurred during the update. This is usually some sort of

the network is connected per app cmd "speedtest" and functional otherwise, downloading and uploading email, browser https webpages, and so forth

tried reverting to previous kernel and operating system, same error, seems, but otherwise operable, have not tried a fresh install
